I am a Farmingdale resident since 1955, and a Long Island artist who draws heavily on the local scenery as inspiration for my nautical themed work in oils and acrylics.
I majored in fine art at Nassau Community College and Hofstra University, and have won awards in competitions while a member of the Suburban Art League and the Wet Paints Studio Group. While the focus for much of my work has been nautical in nature, due to my teaching duties, I have expanded my artistic vocabulary to include, florals, landscapes and figure studies.
I currently teach acrylic painting at the Vintage Canvas after 10 years of providing instruction at Michaels Arts and Crafts. My classes are geared toward a variety of students that range from somewhat experienced to the professional. Serious learning in a fun and supportive environment is the objective in each and every class.

I am a local Mom of three - 2 in college, 1 in high school.
I have Always enjoyed drawing and painting since a young age and decided later in life to further my experience and pursue more training. I attended and learned at Pat's classes for landscape painting and since then have expanded my education and ability to drawing and sketching to have a more secure platform for teaching. I started as a beginner instructor for acrylic painting at Michael's and now continue to teach at The Vintage Canvas. I specialize in Landscape painting, portrait painting and florals for beginners. On my spare time I enjoy do portrait/caricatures for Nassau County Police Retirement parties.
I am currently in school and planning to presue my art education further. I enjoy helping Ms. Raine and the other instructors during classes and camp. Most of all I enjoy working with children seeing their creativity.
